How to Care for Your Jewelry

Ever wondered how to care of your Malu Voss jewelry to keep their radiant glow? You're not alone. Many are searching for those perfect jewelry care tips, and guess what? We've got you covered. Let's explore the best ways to love and care for your jewelry.

Caring for and Wearing your Jewelry

  • Swimming, Bathing, and Working Out: A friendly reminder to remove your Malu Voss jewelry before doing any of these activities. This simple act can extend the life and shine of your pieces.
  • Natural Gemstones Alert: Ours are genuine and gorgeous but also delicate. A gentle touch goes a long way in preserving their beauty.
  • Perfumes and Lotions: Keep them away from your jewelry to prevent erosion and discoloration.

Storing Your Treasures: Best Practices

  • The Perfect Spot: That Malu Voss box your jewelry arrived in isn’t just stylish; it’s their cozy haven. And if humidity's got you down, adding desiccant crystals can be a game-changer.
  • Solo Time: Give each jewelry piece its own space. It is extremely important that you do not store your Malu Voss jewelry with other jewelry, to prevent contact with other non-noble materials from oxidizing your jewelry.
Expert Cleaning Hacks

For metals:

  • A weekly dip in lukewarm water with mild soap, followed by a gentle scrub using a soft brush, works wonders. Always pat dry with a lint-free cloth.

For corded bracelets:

  • A soft sponge, lukewarm water, and mild soap will keep them looking fresh and trendy.

How to Prevent Tarnishing

Sometimes, even the most cared-for jewelry can show signs of tarnish. Our product is protected with an anti-tarnish solution to help prevent tarnish but this may eventually wear with time. Silver tarnishes rapidly when exposed to certain substances in our everyday lives so we recommend caring for, wearing and storing your jewellery as mentioned above.

In case dark spots appear, moisten a cotton swab in silver polish product and carefully wipe it over it, then wash with neutral soap and rinse with lukewarm water, dry with a soft towel. You can use a polishing cloth instead.

Nickel is a trace metal which can be found in any precious metals such as silver or gold, it is also classified as an allergen. We do not add Nickel to Malu Voss jewelry.
